Antica e nobile famiglia originaria della Lombardia. Decorati del titolo marchionale. Riporta il Calvi nella sua opera intitolata "Il Patriziato Milanese", stampato in Milano, dal Borroni nel 1875. Varie sono le opinioni circa l'origine di questa famiglia. Si trovano memorie certe di essa verso la metà del secolo XIII. Ha goduto nobiltà in numerose città Lombarde. Dovendo trattar di questa chiarissima Famiglia frà l'altre nobili delle celebratissime Città, del nostro Regno, accioche, benche scomparsa detta Famiglia, viva però sempre nella memoria de' posteri, tanto più, che dimostrò egli sempre haverne sommo desiderio, senza però fare, che dal affetto del antica amicitia, venghi in qualche modo occultata, ò alterata la verità dell'historia.

Andrea, nel primo e quarto d'argento, a tre stelle d'oro, 1 e 2; nel secondo spaccato d'argento pieno e scaccato di nero e d'argento; nel terzo spaccato; nel primo scaccato di nero e d'argento; nel secondo d'argento pieno; colla croce di S. Andrea diminuita d'oro, attraversante sull'inquartatura, e colla fascia d'azzurro, attraversante sul tutto, caricata di due pesci d'argento nuotanti uno sull'altro, quelle disotto rivoltato, accompagnati da due stelle d'oro, una a destra e l'altra a sinistra.
