The Municipality of Savigliano sent on 10 March 1590 a letter of citizenship to Captain Giusto Taffini, who was later a colonel of infantry and rendered many services to the house of Savoja. Camillo, his son, was first cavalry captain, then governor of Turin, and finally inspector general of the militia and war people, councilor of state and chamber gentleman of the Duke Carlo-Emanuele. Giusto-Aurelio was born from him and was a cavalry colonel. The Taffini had the fief of Acceglio with a comital title.
