Ancient and illustrious Lombard family, of clear and ancestral virtue, spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. The origin of this surname is to be found in a nickname linked to the medieval Saxon word "tainus" (= comrade in arms). According to what has been handed down to us, this family is a branch of the noble Taini family from Piacenza, attesting since 1676, with an Orazio, mayor of Zibello. Therefore the nobility of the Taino family descends, like that of the Taini, from that dr. Cesare, distinguished doctor, born on March 22, 1677 and died on February 1, 1765, protomedico in his homeland, to whom, for probity, science and wealth, he was conferred the nobility for himself and his descendants of both sexes, with a diploma by Francesco Farnese of 20 June 1719.
