Família do sul antiga e ilustre, de nobreza clara e comprovada, chamada Tallarigo ou Talarico, com residência em Catanzaro e Nápoles. Com RD "motu proprio" de 15 de março de 1928 e RR. LL. PP. de 14 de julho do mesmo ano, o rei da Itália Vittorio Emanuele III concedeu a Armando, general do Exército Real, o título transmissível de barão. Filhos: Carlo Francesco, oficial da Marinha Real, Francesco e Paolo. Mas, por outro lado, essa linhagem, ao longo dos séculos, sempre conseguiu se destacar, graças aos personagens elevados, aos quais deu à luz. Entre eles, sem elevar o valor dos omitidos, lembramos: Horácio, notário, morando em Catanzaro, em 1563; Michele, distinguido na defesa de Malta contra os turcos, em 1565; Giacomo, soldado dos couraças do rei Filipe II da Espanha; dr. Alfonso, Notário Real, morando em Nápoles, em 1598; D. Lorenzo, cânone, teólogo e comissário apostólico, morando em Catanzaro,

Troncato: nel primo d'azzurro nel secondo d'argento, a tre fasce di nero, il tutto attraversato da una colonna di marmo spezzata con la base, accollata da un ramo d'alloro al naturale e ad un leone coronato d'oro, con la testa rivolta, posto dietro la colonna e che l'avvolge con le zampe anteriori nella parte inferiore; la colonna accompagnata alla sua basate da tre palle d'oro male ordinate.
