In seguito a regie lettere del 21 agosto1742 don Giuseppe Scardaccio il 6 febbraio 1743 conferiva il cingolo equestre a Giovanni, di Ozieri, dottore in ambo le leggi, e Carlo Emanuele III, approvando quanto lo Scardaccio aveva fatto, coi diplomi in data di Torino 10 maggio 1743, concedeva al Tarsi i titoli di cavalierato e di nobiltà con l'uso delle armi gentilizie, trasmissibili alla sua prole e posterità, nata e nascitura, discendete in linnea maschile ,in ricompensa delle sue benemerenze e ad esaltazione delle sue virtù. Nell'elenco dei nobili e cavalieri esistenti nel ducato di Monte Acuto e marchesato di Mores, compilato nel 1822 da R. Prefetto della provincia di Ozieri e trasmesso alla R. Segreteria di Stato e di guerra presso il Vicerè di Sardegna, vi è compreso il nome di Don Antonio Raimondo Tarsa, discende da questa famiglia. la famiglia è iscritta genericamente nell'El, Uff. Nob.
