En 1550, M. Messire Pierre Tardieu est dit juge du Vivarais. Des lettres de noblesse furent accordées à Pierre Tardieu, juge de Villeneuve-de-Berg. Il reçut également des provisions de juge au bailliage de Villeneuve de Berg. En 1600, 6 mai, Messire Florimond Tardieu, dit de Servissas est sous rentier de la métairie du Crozet. Pierre Tardieu fut juge royal et anobli en 1655. Son fils Noël, seigneur de Servissas portait les armes dessinées. N. Tardieu était en 1639, lieutenant général du bailliage est probablement le même personnage qui épousa demoiselle Jeanne d'Audibert de Massillian à laquelle ses père et mère constituent en dot pour ses droits paternels et maternels, la somme de 12.000 livres. Cette famille donna deux juges au bailliage de Villeneuve-de-Berg. Elle s'allia aux Audibert de Massilian, aux Chalendar, Bellidentis, Gévaudan, La Garde, de Villeneuve de Berg, Mollier de Grandval et Jossouin.
