Originaria di Cremona, trapiantata nel XVI secolo in Verona e detta poi Buonmassari. In una lapide sepolcrale nel chiostro di S. Eufemia fu scolpito il nome di Bernardo figio del fu Nevo, di S. Egidio da Cremona. Raffaello nel 1404, al tempo del dominio carrarese, fu comandante del castello di Ponti, e Vincenzo nello stesso anno ebbe la carica di vicario e giusdicente di Valleggio. Giovanni nel 1405 venne ascritto al nobile Consiglio veronese. Le famiglie forastiere, le quali dopo il 1420 vennero ad abitare in Verona, e che, avendo possedimenti in città o nel territorio, faceansi inscrivere nel campione dell'estimo, quantunque molte tra loro fossero d'origine illustre, pure salvo qualche caso non venivano aggregate al Nobile Consiglio se non dopo un mezzo secolo ed altre dopo cent'anni, e fin dugento, ed anche più.
