Questa famiglia dalla Toscana fu trapiantata in Forlì, al cui patriziato fu ascritta nella persona di Lodovico nel 1709. Lorenzo, eletto Vescovo di Veroli nel 1714, fece acquisto della giurisdizione di Tossignano, Fontana e Carignano. Giacomo, di lui fratello, dopo aver preso parte a varie campagne in Morea e a Negroponte, dal Granduca di Toscana Cosimo III si ebbe il comando delle armi di Grosseto, della fortezza di S. Martino in Mugello e della Terra del Sole. Di questa famiglia non si ebbero più notizie dal 1829, per la morte dell'Abate Giambattista, il quale lasciò erede di tutte le sue sostanze i Padri Gesuiti di Forlì. Altra antica e nobile famiglia, originaria della Romagna. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane.
