Famille ancienne et noble, originaire de Città di Castello, dont le commendator GB de Crollalanza rapporte le blason, dans les volumes de son "Dictionnaire historique des blasons des familles nobles et notables italiennes". La famille, au début du XVIIIe siècle, en tant que descendant de Francesco di Vanni et Niccolò di Florido, a reçu la chaire du XIIIe siècle de l'église de S. Francesco, à Città di Castello, ainsi que quelques sculptures en bois, qui représentait le Sauveur, les douze apôtres et les armées de la famille Tartarini, et une deuxième inscription, où l'on se souvenait des noms des clients et de l'année d'exécution de la chaire, 1276. qui a donné naissance.
