La Casata, detta anche Febei, risulta in alto stato in Orvieto fin dal secolo XIII in cui i suoi membri tennero le supreme cariche di responsabilità e di Governo in quella città. Molti di essi si distinsero nella carriera Ecclesiastica. Jacopo fu Podestà di Orivieto nel 1248. Teodorico fu Comandante inviato in soccorso ai Fiorentini nel 1261. Biagio fu un illustre membro della stirpe per esser stato scelto quale Ambasciatore presso il Pontefice e per aver servito come Assessore Gentile Orsini, Podestà di Orvieto. Pietro Paolo, morto nel 1649, fu Vescovo di Bagnorea. Giambattista fu Nunzio in Spagna sotto i Pontefici Clemente IV e Clemente X, indi Vescovo di Todi e di Acquapendente. Francesco Maria fu Vescovo di Tarsi e Commendatore di Santo Spirito in Sassia. Biagio e Teodoro furono ambasciatori a Roma per la propria patria.
