Venne trapiantata in Milano da Piacenza all'epoca della morte del duca Pier Luigi Farnese, della quale il Conte Giovanni Anguissola fu uno dei principali autori. Il medesimo ebbe il governo di Como, il titolo di Senatore e fu governatore di Pavia. Ascritta al patriziato veneto. Autori che parlano di questa famiglia: V. Palizzolo Gravina Barone di Ramione, nella sua opera " Il Blasone in Sicilia ossia Raccolta Araldica", stampato in Palermo nel 1871-75, ha offerto non poche notizie interessanti di questa famiglia, e delle gloriose tradizioni di quest'isola. (Anguissola): al 2° di rosso seminato di losanghe d'oro, al destrocherio di carnagione movente da una nuvola d'argento, impugnante un pioppo di verde sostenuto da una pietra quadrata d'argento coll'iscrizione sul lato MIT ZEIT in lettere di nero (Tedesco): al 3° di rosso, a quattro pali ondati d'argento; al 4° d'argento, al leone di rosso coronato d'oro tenente una spada d'argento guarnita d'oro ed una banda d'azzurro caricata di tre rose d'argento attraversante sul leone (Secco): al 5° d'argento al P di nero attraversante su un X dello stesso, e accompagnato a sinistra da un A di nero e a destra da un W pure di nero: al 6° d'oro, all'aquila bicipite di nero, tenente nell'artiglio destro una spada e nel sinistro uno scettro sormontato dalla corona imperiale; e la detta aquila caricata di uno scudetto ovale d'argento sovraccaricato di tre campane di nero
