Il Fioravanti nelle sue "Memorie storiche della città di Pistoia" scrive alla data 1324 dell'abate Ormanno, che signoreggiato in Pistoia per il periodo di 14 mesi, cadde in pensiero a Filippo di Fortebraccio Tedici di lui nipote, giovane pieno di ambizione, e che non tralignava punto dal zio, di levargli la signoria acquistata, e di farsi egli stesso signore di Pistoia, e per tale scopo dicendo ad alcuni guelfi fuoriusciti, che l'abate suo zio teneva segreto un trattato con Castruccio per consegnargli Pistoia,.......Neruccio conte di Sarteano guelfo accorto e sagace, offrì la sua cavalleria a questi cospiratori; però l'abate Ormanno scoperta la congiura, se ne lagnò con Filippo Tedici suo nipote il quale asseriva essere un'invenzione di male lingue........
