Apellido de origen gallego. Una rama pasó a Andalucía y luego a Canarias, estableciéndose en Tenerife. El Capitán Luis de Morales, natural de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y su esposa Doña Juana Tenorio y Ordoño, fueron padres de Doña Antonia Bautista del Campo y Tenorio, que contrajo matrimonio en dicha ciudad con Don Bartolomé Pérez de Miranda, Alférez de Milicias y Guarda Mayor por Su Majestad, del Juzgado y Superintendencia de Indias en Canarias. En enlace se celebró en la Paroquia de Nuesta Señora de la Concepción, en 17 de mayo de 1689 y tuvieron cuatro hijos, siendo el sucesor Don José Antonio de Miranda del Campo y Tenorio, Guarda Mayor, como su padre, del Juzado y Superintendencia de Indias en Canarias, y Coronel del Regimiento principal de La Laguna desde el 18 de enero de 1746. Otra rama de este apellido se estableció en los últimos tiempos en Arrecife
