Er war aus Mömpelgard gebürtig Sohn des Leonard Th., Herzl Geh. Rats und Dessen Gemahlin Anna Katharina Ervard, deren Großvater Johann Ervrard vom Kaiser Kar V. in den Adelstand erhoben worden war. Wappen: gespalten s.g. vorn auf einem Dreifelsen ein gr. Tannenbaum, hinten r. Balken, darin Dreifelsen. Helm: Tanne, derem Stamm mit einem Schilde wie Feld 2 belegt ist. Decken: gr.s. - r.g.
