Questa antica casa, che diverse fonti bibliografiche affermano di nobile origine, fornì una schiera di illustri personaggi nella carriera d'armi. Molti pezzi sono stati usati per fare la storia di questa famiglia e per forza abbiamo dovuto restringerli e accorciarli molto. Incontriamo questa nobiltà nel movimento della baronia di Mercœur nel 1302. Fu registrato nell'Armeria del 1450 e mantenuto nel 1666. Canonico di Saint-Agrève du Puy (1375); un conte canonico di Brioude (1604). Jacques, segretario del duca di Montpensier, è autore di numerose opere pubblicate dal 1610 al 1638. A questo nome è attribuito un segno distintivo di nobiltà rappresentato dallo stemma che viene riprodotto in basso e che conferma anche attraverso i suoi stemmi, da dal punto di vista storico e araldico, la certezza di un notevole valore.
