Antigua y notable familia Lazio, de clara y ancestral virtud, extendida a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia, con importantes asentamientos en Toscana, Véneto y Piamonte. Según lo que nos ha sido transmitido, desciende de la familia noble bávara Tiechier. De hecho, un caballero alemán de tal destreza habría venido a Roma y habría establecido allí a sus descendientes. Por lo tanto, el apellido original, como sucedió a menudo, habría sufrido una italianización, desde el Tiechier original hasta la forma Tichetti actual.
