Pare peró che normanna essa si fosse, imperocché il Bolvito nel tomo 3 de' suoi manoscritti, giá nella Biblioteca de' Teatini nel Monastero de' SS. Apostoli, cita due istrumenti, de' quali uno del 1389 dal quale si ricava che Renzo dell'Aquila ricupera dal R. Fisco once 46 l'anno sull'ufficio di Secreto di Principato e molti territorii in Avellino e Nocera come erede in burganzatico del Conte di Avellino Giovanni dell'Aquila, morto senza eredi nel grado feudale nel 1307. Intervengono nello stesso istrumento Andrea, Cicino e Giosaffatte figliuoli di Renzo sudetto, i quali donano alla loro sorella Lisola once 10 su' beni di Nocera. L'altro istrumento ch' é del 1416 ricorda Giovanni filius Cicini, Andrea e Nicola filii Josaphati qui dicitur Cimulii, i quali transiggono con Palamede d'Aprano per le doti di Lisola dell'Aquila sua madre.
