Questa famiglia visse anticamente tra l'Illustri d'Italia, e di lei fù il glorioso Dottor della Chiesa Sant'Ambrogio Arcivescovo di Milano. Da Milano dunque ella passò à Pisa, dove godè i primi carichi di quella famosa Republica; però poscia con altri nobili Pisani, quando Pisa fà venduta à fiorentini, se nè passò in Sicilia, e nella Città di Palermo, dove con le sue portate ricchezze si stabilì. Il primo di lei fù Binno del T., che si casò con Caterina del Voglio Dama nobile pur originata da Pisa, e procreò à Gaspare del T. Barone di Mirreti, Agliastri, Grambuti, e Boschetti per ragion di sua moglie Maria Imperatore figlia d'Emilio Imperatore, e d'ambedue ne pervennero Emilio del T., e la sorella moglie di Don Luiggi la Farina Baron d'Aspro Monte, e Marchese di Madonia. Emilio fù Cavalier Gerosolimitano, e una sorella di suo padre fù moglie di Don Pietro Corsetto Regente
