Cette famille, alliée en Bourgogne aux Domas et en Bretagne aux Plessis de Kerradennec, la Bouëxière du Rulazarou et la Jaille, a produit plusieurs viergs (maires) d'Autun depuis 1569; un secrétaire d'Anne d'Autrice en 1653; deux gentilshommes de la maison des princes de Condé en 1669 et 1675; un mestre de camp de chevau-légers en 1721; un prieur de Saint-Germain-des-Prés en 1667 et deux capitaines de vaisseaux, dont l'un était lieutenant sur le Lys, à la prise de Rio par Duguay-Trouin en 1711. La branche restée en Bourgogne a produit: Philibert, châtelain de la Thoison, conseiller au parlement de Dijon en 1582, marié en 1572 à Françoise de Montholon, Simon, patricien d'Autun, marié en 1598 à Claude de Chaugy; cette branche portait: d'azur à la croix d'or, cantonnée aux 1 et 4: d'une étoile; aux 2 et 3: d'un trèfle, le tout d'argent.
