Antiga e ilustre família Iglesias, cujas informações remontam ao século XVIII. Em 1728, ele obteve a cavalaria e a nobreza hereditárias com um Diego, cujos descendentes, no espaço de algumas décadas, compraram alguns feudos. Em 1752, Antonio tinha o senhorio de Motresta, ele tentou repovoar o distrito com colonos gregos e, em 1763, ele teve a rixa levantada no marquês de S. Cristoforo; infelizmente, a tentativa de reabastecimento fracassou e o feudo foi devolvido às autoridades fiscais em 1773. Seu irmão, capitão Basílio, teve o salto de Minerva com o título de conde em 1755, mas morreu em 1770, deixando o feudo para Antonio. Este último, em 1776, tinha o título de marquês de S. Vittorio, mas morreu em 1777 deixando herdeiros os netos Maramaldo e Pes. Digno de menção é certamente o pintor A.Todde, cuja tela da Virgem da Consolação está localizada na capela de San Salvatore da Horta,
