Al tempo degli Scaligeri vivea di questa casa il maestro Delaido il quale ebbe due figli, Jacopo e Bartolomeo. Quest'ultimo fu fatto morire con altri nell'anfiteatro di Verona per ordine del Carrarese accusato di voler dare la città al signore di Mantova che era in lega coi Veneziani. Pietro Bonalini celebre medico di Collegio nel 1522, scrisse in greco e in latino, ed è nominato dai Maffei nella sua Verona illustrata. Nel 1409 questa famiglia fu ascritta al nobile patrio Consiglio, e nel 1655 si estinse. Tali sono i principii, che da sopracitati Autori si diedero a questa famiglia, ma per esser questo fatto assai remoto, e d'historia molto lontana, lasciamo perciò a più eruditi delle sacre antichità, e dell'historie l'investigarne il suo certo principio. Quel che però di certo habbiamo, è che la casata per la loro antichità, e splendore, e per virtù militare, carrichi così laicali, come Ecclesiastici,
