Ancient and noble Venetian family, of clear and ancestral virtue, originally from the city of Belluno, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Know as Tonetti or Tonetta, this House was ascribed to the noble Council of Belluno in the year 1793 but already held the title of count since the year 1765, achieved because its aggregation to the consortium of juridical accounts of Cesara had already taken place in that year. It should be noted that the original form of a surname did not always remain intact over the centuries with its primitive spelling. Often due to incorrect transcriptions, dialectal transformations according to the regions where the lineage gradually moved, the incomprehensible handwriting of the scribes, etc., there were changes in phonetics and handwriting. Emperor Francis I of Austria confirmed the nobility and the title of counts with sovereign resolutions February 28, 1824 and October 24, 1829. Another line
