Acquistò all'asta un carato del feudo consortile di Cesena nel 1765 e fu investita con titolo comitale nello stesso anno. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare e conte di Cesena (m.), in persona dell'ultimo riconoscimento Antonio Giovani, di Giovanni (1841). Ascritta nel 1793 al Consiglio nobile di Belluno, era già insignita del titolo di conte conseguito mercè la sua aggregazione al consorzio dei conti giurisdicenti di Cesara avvenuta nel 1765. L'Imperatore Francesco I d'Austria con sovrane risoluzioni 28 Febbraio 1824 e 24 ottobre 1829 confermò la nobiltà ed il titolo di comitale di questa famiglia.
