Ha dato alla patria numerosi ragguardevoli personaggi, tra cui un vescovo di Fondi; un lettore allo studio di Bologna; cinque uomini d'arme al servizio dei Baglioni; due protonotari apostolici e vicari generali, di cui uno di Milano. Un ramo di questa famiglia trasferitosi in Amelia, si è fuso con la nobile casata dei conti Catenacci Giraldini ed è ora rappresentato da Orlandino; l'altro ramo si è estinto con Emilio, che non avendo prole, volle chiamare sua sorella Caterina, sposa al nobile Carlo Lanzi, patrizio spoletino, a succedergli nei beni, nel casato e nei titoli insieme al figlio Domenico, donde il cognome Lauri. La famiglia ha contratto parentele con i Campello, i Collicola, i Leti, i Castelli di Terni, i Monaldi
