Il Panuino la pone tra le famiglie Consolari Romane e la fa avventizia Romana avanti Cesare Augusto, ed è celebrato nell'Istorie quel Sex. N. Quitiliano, che fu Console nel 760. di Roma, e Q N. nel 787. e L. N. Asprena nel 791, come ben si ritrae dal Codice di Giustinano Imperatore; e l'Orfini mostra monete di quel Sex. Nonio Suffenas. Fu Dittatore, Console, e Tribuno militare con potesta Consolare, come l'attesta il suddetto Orfini.
