Famiglia originaria da Bertinoro. A Domenico, nato nel 1754, in data 11 agosto 1828, venne concessa la nobiltà di Bertinoro; ebbe diversi figliuoli fra i quali Giuseppe e Francesco, capostipiti dei due rami in cui oggi si divide la famiglia. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile di Bertinoro (mf.), ed è rappresentata da Giuseppe, di Filippo, di Giuseppe, nato nel 1873. Sorella: Teresa Matilde, nata nel 1880. Francesca, di Alfredo, di Francesco. Sorella: Maria. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia, originaria del Friuli. Il commendator G.B. di Crollalanza riporta la blasonatura di questa famiglia nei volumi del suo Dizionario storico blasonico delle famiglie nobili e notabili italiane. Altra famiglia alzò per arma. Tagliato di rosso e di verde; colla punta d'argento, in sbarra, movente dal cantone destro della punta attraversante sulla partizione, e terminante nell'angolo sinistro del capo.
