Y hablando Zurita del conde Don Pedro Froylaz o Fruelaz de T., que floreció a principios del siglo XII, se espresa en estos términos: Tuvo el conde Armengol, yerno del conde Don Peranzures, una hija que se llamó Doña Mayor, y esta, segun parece por las genealogías del conde Don Pedro de Portugal, casó con el conde Don Pedro Froylaz de T., que fué muy gran señor, y hubo a su cargo la crianza del infante Don Alonso, que se llamó emperador en la alteraciones y guerras que tuvo con el rey de Aragón, su padrastro, y con la reina Doña Urraca, su madre. Deste con de Don Pedro y de la condesa Doña Mayor, su muger, y de sus hijos Bermudo Pérez y Fernan Perez, se hace mencion en memoria auténtica destos tiempos.
