Ancient and notable Lombard family, originally from the historic Martesana area, of clear and ancestral virtue, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. The first historical references to the family are found in the 17th century, with a nucleus settled in Gessate. Other nuclei then found in Truccazzano and Cassano d'Adda. Landowners, the Tresoldi must have accumulated considerable wealth over time so as to rise to the nobility. According to other heraldic reconstructions, however, the Tresoldi are a collateral branch of the noble Tresolzo of Bergamo and therefore their nobility would not depend on the economic rise. In any case, the Tresoldi family, in the unfolding of its luster, has always managed to produce a series of men who have made his name famous. Among these, without raising the value of the omitted, there are: Niccolò, landowner in the Martesana, flourishing in 1683; Giacomo Maria, landowner
