Famiglia oriunda da Bra, che ha per stipite noto Girardino, che viveva agli inizi del secolo XVI. Ad un Bartolomeo Treviglio (nato 1618), che fu professore e protomedico, venne concessa la nobiltà, con conferma di arme ed inquartamento di essa, il 6 agosto 1659. Suo figlio Francesco Isoardo (1660-1679), fu padre di Francesco Isoardo Domenico (nato nel 1679), il quale fu infeudato di Venaria (Vercelli) l'8 luglio 1721 e investito il 23 luglio, e il 22 giugno 1731 con titolo comitale. Da costui discesero, successivamente, Carlo Francesco, Giuseppe Ignazio (defunto 1749), Gio. Lorenzo (defunto Torino, 13 dicembre 1792), Carlo Giuseppe (nato Bra, 4 novembre 1782, defunto 1845), che fu dottore di legge e riformatore delle scuole, Luigi (nato Bra, 8 marzo 1798, defunto 14 agosto 1881), che fu valente pittore, e Carlo Giuseppe (nato Bra, 16 maggio 1824, defunto Torino, 19 ottobre 1882), che fu non comune architetto.
