Sono oriundi lombardi e forse milanesi, ed erano mercanti. Nel secolo XVIII si recavano ogni anno a Reggio per la fiera di maggio, poi vi presero stabile dimora. Nel 1759 avevano negozio in Piazza Grande, e col commercio ebbero grande fortuna, accumulando ricchezze. I primi a stabilirsi in Reggio furono i fratelli Domenico, Giacomo e Giuseppe. Domenico ebbe tre figlie, di cui Maria Luigia sposò Venceslao Spalletti, la seconda il cav. Ricci di Modena, e la terza un conte Scapinelli pure di Modena. Giacomo ebbe tre figli, Vincenzo sacerdote, altro, morto scapolo, e Claudio. Giuseppe continuò la famiglia. Nel 1764 era commerciante e presidente della Congregazione dell'Abbondanza in Reggio. Ignazio, che portò la fam. a grande lustro e fortuna, e dal quale vennero parecchi personaggi notevoli ed i membri viventi. Sposò una Silva, di nobile famiglia reggiana.
