Narrano le vecchie storia di una famiglia che sedeva nel Consiglio di Venezia nel 1122. Tra le varie memorie di questa famiglia, molto diffusa in ogni epoca a Venezia, ricordiamo quell'Andrea, padre di Benedetto e Francesco, ambedue orefici a Rialto, il primo all'insegna di S. Giovanni e l'altro del Naranzo. Arricchitisi, assieme al loro zio Francesco, essi, durante la guerra di Morea, chiesero alla Repubblica di Venezia di esser ascritti nel patriziato, tramite la seguente supplica, in data 28 luglio 1687: "Ser.mo Principe. Non dovendo mirare ad altro scopo l'applicazioni e li studij de buoni sudditi, che a quelli dell'honore del Signor Dio, e del servitio del Principe, ha procurato sempre la Casa di noi fratelli Trizzi, ossequentissimi Servi, e sudditi della Senerità di rendere le più manifeste prove, di nutrire nell'animo questo giusto, e divoto sentimento.
