Antigua y noble familia italiana, de clara y ancestral virtud, que se ha extendido por todo el mundo, a lo largo de los siglos. La clara nobleza de la Casa queda confirmada por su presencia en la valiosa obra "Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana", de Vittorio Spreti. Según se ha transmitido, Andrea Trombi, de Bérgamo, se trasladó a Finale en el siglo XVI y allí asentó a su familia, relacionando parentesco con las principales y más nobles familias de Finale, como Miari, Frassoni y Gnoli. Además, esta familia, en todas las épocas, se destacó siempre, gracias a las figuras prominentes, que dio a luz, en el servicio público, en las profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar.
