Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Tanguy, témoin à un traité entre les barons de Léon et de Pont-l'Abbé en 1328; Henry, auditeur des comptes en 1440; Yves, vivant en 1415, épouse Marie de Penmarc'h; Jean, auditeur des comptes en 1503; Gabriel, sénéchal de Lesneven, président aux comptes en 1632. La branche de Kerlivily fondue dans Boiséon, puis Poulpique et Budes; la branche du Bourouguel fondue vers 1500 dans Penmarc'h: François, archer dans des montres de 1534 à 1537, paroisse de Plouider; Hamon, maire de Lesneven en 1648; deux mousquetaires de la garde du Roi en 1752; un abbé de Paimpont en 1773, puis de Mureaux au diocèse de Toul en 1781 mort en 1808; un capitaine de vaisseau et de port en 1780, contre-amiral anobli sous le titre de baron de 1816.
