Antica e nobile famiglia originaria del Trentino propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Europa. Furono insigniti del titolo di Nobili del S.R.I. nel 1582 e di quello di Baroni nel 1790. Altra famiglia. Antico e nobile casato patrizio Astigiano, detto Turco o Turchi o Turci o Turco dei De Castello. Si dedicarono con grande profitto all'attività del prestito del denaro su pegno ed anche ai commerci. Appartenente alla fazione ghibellina, legò i suoi destini alle famiglie Guttuari ed Isnardi al punto tale da costituire sulla fine del XIII secolo un " Hospitium " detto dei De Castello.

D'azzurro, ad un giglio d'oro, accostato da tre stelle dello stesso; lo scudo bordato d'oro. Cimiero: Primo un cigno d'argento, col volo spiegato, tenente nel becco un ferro da cavallo. Nel secondo un uomo uscente vestito d'oro e d'azzurro, tenente colla destra un giglio d'oro.
