Negli atti di archivio si trovano notizie interessanti intorno alla stessa. Fu sempre ascritta al ceto patrizio ed esercitò la carica di gonfaloniere fino dal 1611, così come risulta negli atti conservati negli archivi della città. Fra i molti egregi personaggi di essa, son da notare un Baldantonio detto il prete, colonnello e governatore della provincia di Urbino verso la fine del XVI secolo; che combattè valorosamente nella famosa e vittoriosa battaglia di Lepanto come capitano e poi colonnello, contribuento non poco alla riuscita di quella che viene giustamente riferita neglia annali come una delle battaglie marinare più cruente e meglio interpretate dalla marineria Veneziana, dando prova di una tecnica marinara che lasciò stupiti gli stessi mori, che dovettero così ricordare Lepanto come una delle loro giornate più nere. Fu poi commissario della Repubblica di Venezia a Cattaro nel 1599; ed un Leonello che ebbe pure il grado di colonnello
