Famiglia milanese. Con Sovrana Risoluzione 7 luglio 1838, ottenne la concessione della nobiltà dall'imper. d'Austria. Con successivo diploma 28 febbraio 1839, le fu concesso lo stemma. La concessione fu fatta a Giuseppe, di Giovanni, dottore in legge. Da Giuseppe nacque in Milano il 2 apirle 1834, Giovanni, che sposò la contessa Matilde Borromeo, di Carlo. La fam. è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di nobile e col predicato de' Capei (mf.), ed è rappresentata da Vitaliano, di Giovanni, di Giuseppe, n. Milano 26 gennaio 1871, spos. Torino 19 gennaio 1903 con Giulia Pluker , di Daniele. Figli: Gian Carlo, n. Torino 28 ottobre 1905; Elena, n. Torino, 20 aprile 1907. Fratelli: Carlo, n. Milano 17 maggio 1879; Costanza, n. Monza 25 luglio 1873; Giulia, n. Monza 3 ottobre 1867.
