Antigua y muy noble familia piamontesa, con primera residencia en Valperga, luego pasó a Perosa Argentina y Turín, cuyos primeros recuerdos ya se encuentran en los siglos X y VII, que se extendieron a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia. El 22 de julio de 1687, en Valperga, Martino Ughetto, ex señor de Besso, entregó el arma, de acuerdo con el privilegio que le fue otorgado a él y a sus descendientes, por Carlo Emanuele II, con licencias el 15 de febrero de 1675. D Por otro lado, esta familia, en el desarrollo de su brillo, siempre ha logrado producir una serie de hombres que se han hecho famosos, en el empleo público, en profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar.
