Cette famille a prouvé sa filiation depuis Jean, conseiller-secrétaire du roi, qui avait épousé en 1670 Jeanne de Giraudon. Il eut pour fils Jean-André, qui fut marié à Mlle Charlotte de Grimaldi, le 10 décembre 1718, et en seconde noces le 15 novembre 1725 avec Marie-Anne d'Albert, dont il eut Jean-André-Henri-Joseph qui continua la postérité. Parmi les représentants actuels de cette maison on trouve: M. Vacher de Monguyon, inspecteur des contributuions indirectes. La plupart des mambres de cette famille ont résidé à Marseille. La distinction familiale représentée ici sous forme de blason, survit à travers les siècles grâce à des précieux témoignages qui nous ont permis de rapporter les exploits et les gestes de cette noble famille. Armes de cette famille: De gueules à quatre fasces d'argent; alias: d'or, à la vache de gueules, accornée et clarinée d'argent.
