Antica famiglia romana che aveva le sue case sulle rive del Tevere, nel luogo detto anche oggi Lungotevere dei Vallati. Il loro stemma si vede anche con la palma movente da un disco d'oro. Gabriele de' Vallati fu Conservatore di Roma nel 1548. Hanno lapide nella chiesa di S. Angelo in Piscninula. Magr. Laurentius de Vallatis de regione Sti Angeli, insigne medico, fu sepolto nella stessa chiesa nell'anno 1407. Ebbero altra lapide in S. Angelo. Il cavaliere Jacovacci di dà l'estratto di molti rogiti notarili che si riferiscono ai seguenti personaggi: D. Palutius Joannis Vallati de regione Sti Eustachij (1416); Laurentius de Vallatis (1429); Joannes secrretarius Societatis Ssmi Salvatoris (1444); Stephanus de Vallatis (1448); Angelus de Vallatis (1456); Dom. Alexander de Valltis Capellannus Capellae Sti Laurentij (1486); Angelus de Vallatis (1524).
