Casata assai antica e nobile, fiorita e diramata nel Regno di Napoli fin da epoca antica. Vincenzo Vallone, per successione di Mariano, suo padre, fu investito del feudo di Mariglianella il 26 aprile 1788. Giuseppe Vallone, di Napoli, fu un celebre scultore. Michele Vallone, fu controllore della Direzione Generale dei reali lotti dei domini in Napoli. Il Primo Tenente Don Felice Vallone fu Cavaliere di Grazia del Real ordine Militare di S. Giorgio della Riunione. Giuseppe Vallone, di Salerno, fu illustre pittore, discepolo del Morelli. Il figlio Pasquale fu, anch'esso, illustre pittore e scultore. Riccardo Vallone, nato a Salerno il 9.5.1915, fu professore universitario e membro di numerose Accademie italiane e straniere. Sposato con Elvira Quercia di Napoli. Figli: Carmela, Margherita, Paola, Isabella.
