De Cataluña y Valencia. Según mosén Jaime Febrer, Pedro V., ricohombre de Salvatierra, pasó a la conquista de Valencia, donde también se encontró Juan V., de origen navarro, señor de Sangüesa, después de haber asistido a la de Mallorca. Juan V., señor de Vilanova, Torre-Torres, Algimia, Alfara, Castellmontant, Font de la Reina, Montanejos, Alquería, Arañuel y Canet, fue creado por Felipe IV, el 25 de febrero de 1628, primer conde de Vilanova. El noble valenciano Pedro de V. de Blanes y Borja, fue creado marqués de V., por el archiduque- pretendiente, el 16 de agosto de 1716. Don Gerónimo V. fue nombrado por el Rey Felipe V lugarteniente general de la orden de Montesa, el 14 de abril de 1707. "En el manejo de este empleo se portó con mucha paz y tranquilidad".
