Alte und sehr edle Familie, die aus der gleichen Agnation der sienesischen Adelsfamilie resultiert, die im 16. Jahrhundert in das Königreich Neapel überging, wie aus den 1804 vom Ritter Gerosolimitano Ferdinando durchgeführten Prüfungen hervorgeht, um in die Baciamano Royals aufgenommen zu werden. Die ersten diesbezüglichen Memoiren finden sich in Salerno oder in Prignano Cilento mit Gerolamo, der nach dem Vermögen von Herzog Tristaven, wie Beltrano in der "Beschreibung des Königreichs Neapel" in der Schrift von Michele Paleologo, Kaiser von Konstantinopel, berichtet. Für seine kriegerischen Fähigkeiten hatte er viele Gnaden und Grade des Adels gewährt, wie in einem Privileg vom 3. April 1923 in Konstantinopel angegeben. Ein Zweig der Familie ging nach Lucera über, wo er diesem Adel zugeschrieben wurde und 1767 im SM-Malteserorden als vierter der Familie Primicile Carafa zur Gerechtigkeit aufgenommen wurde. Note: nel disegno originale non vi sono indicazioni di tinture e metalli che sono stati riscostruiti sulla base di informazioni d'archivio.
