Family originating from Venosa, feudal lord, and aggregated to the first Civic Order of the city of Matera in Basilicata, which was received in the SM Order of Malta, from 1710, with Fabio di Matera (Arch. Malta Order 4894-4895); in 1714 as quarter of the Carducci family (State Archives, Naples vol. 37, Priory of Barletta); in 1745 as quarter of the Lamberti family (Arch. Order of Malta, 4405); and in the branch of Barletta in 1757 as quarter of the knight Saverio Pappalettere (Arch. Ord. malta 4590). It was decorated with the title of Marquis of Turi (province of Bari) from August 28, 1797.
