Die alte und berühmte Familie, ursprünglich aus Venetien, in der Antike de Episcopo und de Episcopis genannt, bestätigte mit der souveränen Resolution vom 16. November 1817 den Adel. Francesco Pietro Angelo vom verstorbenen Gio Battista und der am 5. Januar 1791 geborenen edlen Frau Elena Adriana Renier , verheiratet am 20. Februar 1816 mit der edlen Dame Lucrezia Priori, von der: Gio. Battista Giorgio Alvise, geboren am 25. Dezember 1816. Die Vescovi von Chioggia waren außerdem nach dem Jahr tausend Saliner und Seefahrer und wie verschiedene von Graf Bullo zitierte Dokumente zeigen, gaben sie 1600 dem Bezirk De Vescovi und Cester in Chioggia ihren Namen. Diese Linie war im fünfzehnten Jahrhundert im Rat von Chioggia; anschließend zog eine Tochter davon nach Venedig, wo es noch Menschen mit diesem Nachnamen gibt.
