Originaria spagnola, e fautrice del prin. Garcia, figlio di Ferdinando il Grande, fu costretta verso il 1100 ad emigrare dalla patria, dopo la sconfitta patita da quel principe e rifugiarsi nelle valli del Trentino, e precisamente in quella Lagarina, da dove si trapiantò nelle limitrofe, diramandosi in Rovereto donde passò poi a Riva, a Brentonico e ad Arco. L'arciduca Ferdinando I concesse a questa famiglia, nel 1525 e nel 1545, amplissimi privilegi di familiarità, e l'Imperat. Carlo V nel 1545 confermava ad essa l'antica nobiltà. Per un matrimonio contratto con una Concini di Castel Maggio, il ramo di Arco si trapiantò nel 1555 in detto castello di cui divenne poi proprietario e ne assunse il nome. Sono rimarchevoli un Guglielmo, che seguì Corradino Duca di Svevia e prese parte all'infausta battaglia del Lago di Fucino; un Antonio che nel 1350 militò come ufficiale sotto le insegne di Lodovico di Brandeburgo;
