Un Gualtiero, sacerdote, fu cappellano di Papa Innocenzo IV, poi arcidiacono di Luni, e nel 1253 fu eletto arcivescovo di Genova dove rimase 21 anni morì il 7 settembre 1274, lasciando ricordo di uomo di grande pietà e virtù. Nel secolo XV si hanno notizie di un Cristoforo di Gherardo vivente nel 1478; di un Antonio di Bartolomeo, vivente nel 1476. Un Domenico ebbe parecchi figli: Nicolò, Stefano, Gian Francesco, Lorenzo, Prospero, Cristoforo ed altro di cui non si conosce il nome. Jacopo, sacerdote fu professore di grammatica, letterato e scrittore, nacque in Reggio nel 1580, e vi morì nel 1645. Lasciò una raccolta di orazioni. Una di esse egli recitò in Roma, dove studiava, poi a Reggio nell'Accademia "degli Elevati". Raccolse poesie latine dei reggiani illustri, col titolo: Carmina insignium..., poetarum regensum in gratiam studiosae juventutis collectae , Genuae, ap.
