Alte und adelige spanische Familie, ursprünglich aus Murcia, von klarer und angestammter Tugend, mit zwei Hauptzweigen, in Kastilien und in Süditalien, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte weltweit verbreitet hat. In Spanien zeichneten sich die Mitglieder dieser Familie in den Orden von Santiago, Calatrava, Alcantara, Montesa, Carlos III und Saint John of Jerusalem aus (es handelt sich um einen im 11. Jahrhundert gegründeten militärischen religiösen Orden). Ein Zweig dieses Hauses zog nach Italien, genauer gesagt nach Sizilien, mit einem Antonino Vicente, allgemein Vincenzo genannt, der Friedrich II. als Militärführer folgte und 1330 zum Rettungshauptmann des Tals von Mazzara und der Milizen von Trapani ernannt wurde. A Giovanni war 1432-33 Senator in Trapani; ein Antonino besaß das Lehen von Racalmaymari, dessen Sohn Giacomo am 2. Juli 1453 die Belehnung erhielt; ein Corvino war 1453-54 Justizhauptmann in Trapani; ein Vito war 1517-18 Justizhauptmann in Trapani; ein Antonino bekleidete das gleiche Amt in
