Originally from Flanders, and transplanted to Cremona in the 15th century. He gave the country three decurions; Giovanni in Croce, elected in 1619, and the Marquis Paolo, tribune of the soldiers, elected in 1653. This family boasts two Cardinals, Girolamo created by Ubano VIII in 1627, and Pietro who after having been Bishop of Lodi for 16 years, was elevated to the purple saera by Alexander VII in 1660. The weapon of the Vidoni family is: Silver, the four-piece embattled red tower to the Ghibelline, open and windowed of the field, founded on the grassy plain, and the green vine, fruitful of natural white; at the door of the tower, and accollante, said screw entering and exiting through the windows of the tower, of which crown the top.
