Di origine germanica, fu aggregata al Consiglio nobile di Padova fin dal 1981. Morto Archicelino, che tenea signorile dimora fuori della Porta di S. Sofia, lasciava due figli, Borisone e Corrado, de' quali il primo fu capostipite dei Borisoni, il secondo dell'omonima famiglia. Nel 1104 un Gerardino era console di Padova; un Bonzanello podestà di Vicenza nel 1286; un Giordano podestà di Treviso nel 1298, poi di Vicenza nel 1302; un Giovanni, dott. del Collegio giurista nel 1275, fu quindi potestà di Vicenza nel 1303, ed arbitro delle differenze fra Venezia e Treviso nel 1325. Corrado, Conte di Vighizzolo, fu ardente partigiano dei Maccaruffi, avversi alla dominazione carrarese, e sopraffatto il suo partito da Nicolò e Marsiglio il giovana da Carrara, egli cogli altri suoi seguaci furono dannati al patibolo nel 1326. Guidone o Guizzone fu celebre guerriero. Assalito dai Veneziani, mentre teneva in custodia i forti castelli sul Brenta,
