Apellido de origen aragonés. Don Joaquín de V. Salomón Angulo y Baca, nacido en El Ferrol en 1779, Capitán de Navió de la Real Armada, Comandante de Marina de las Islas Canarias, celebró dos matrimonio: el primero con Doña María de las Nieves de Alcázar Argudo Carvajal y Moncayo, de la ilustre familia de los Duques de San Carlos, con la que tuvo tres hijos: Don Fernando, Don Ignacio y Doña María Joaquina de V. y de Alcázar. En segundas nupcias casó el 25 de agosto de 1829, con Doña María Luisa Devigneau-Casalón Blanco y Strickland, natural de Santa Cruz de Tenerife. El padre de Don Joaquín V. fue Don Joaquín Ramón José Cayetano de V. y Angulo Andrade de Peñalosa, Capitán de Fragata de la Real Armada española, ilustre descendiente de la antigua Casa de V. en Andalucía, que ha enlazado con los Marqueses de Cela, Señores de la Sierra del Codo y la Pedriza en Antequera, con los Marqueses del Valle de la Reina en Carmona, con los Condes y Señores de Villanueva y Cozvijar (hoy Condes de Floridablanca) en Granada, y con los Marqueses de la Candia en Canarias. De dicho matrimonio dejó dos hijos: Don Manuel Nicolás Ignacio de V. y Devigneau-Casalón, nacido en La Laguna el 27 de junio de 1837, y Doña Catalina Enriqueta de V. y Devigneau-Casalón, nacida en la misma ciudad el 4 de junio de 1835. Don Miguel Emiliano de la Purísima Concepción V. Hervás, nació en la villa de La Orotava el 12 de diciembre de 1837.
